Frequently Asked Questions

Im interested, how can I get started?

We are super thrilled to have you on board. The easiest way to get in touched is to fill out the “new participant form” and an EMC team member will get in touch.

I have filled out a “new participant form” for my first event. Is my place confirmed?

Following the completion of the “new participant form”, a member from the EMC team will get in touch and discuss further and give you more information and take you through our intake process before your place is confirmed. You'll get an email confirming your spot.

Can I use my NDIS funds for EMC Disability Support?

YES! Although we are not NDIS registered. There will be some out of pocket costs that differ depending on the activtiy.

How do I pay for EMC Disability Support events?

You'll receive an invoice for the NDIS support costs after the event. For any activity or lunch costs you will pay for those on the day using your own money unless otherwise mentioned on the event. For some events where we need to book tickets or accommodation, we will ask for this payment in advance, but this will be specified on any events where this is the case!

I did not receive an email from EMC Disability Support.

Please check your junk folder, some mail couriers identify it as spam. If it’s not there, please send through an email.

What ages do you provide support to?

We are taking all school ages and up to mid 20’s. Some activities/events are suited and targeted to particular age groups, please email the EMC Team the events you are interested in and we can fill you in.

What do I bring on an outing?

You'll need to bring your phone, wallet (ID, card/cash, companion card if the activity needs one), a drink bottle, sunscreen, walking shoes, and rain coat if the weather requires. Some activities also have other items you’ll need and those are specified on each event.

You won’t need to bring any additional files or documents, as we’ve already got the information we need from the intake process.
